Get to know me
I'm Erin, creator of The Marketing Lounge, marketing and copywriter extraordinaire with OCD tendencies and a desire to help people make their businesses succeed.

​I've been in the marketing world for so long now that it is just second nature to me. Then when I had my children I wanted some more flexibility around my work life, so I could be there as much as possible while they were young, while also continuing my career and contributing to our household. So, naturally creating my own marketing business felt like the obvious next step.
I wanted to create a place that had options for businesses of all sizes and stages, where you could gain access to a marketing expert to either learn from or who could take over and do it all for you. You see, when it comes to marketing, people either don't have the time or the knowledge, and I wanted to help bridge that gap.
Weird and wonderful facts you never asked for

When I’m not wearing my marketing hat, I’m a wife to my hard-working legend of a husband Ben, and a mother to two beautiful girls.

I am a huge lover of music and can often be found busting out a power ballad in my kitchen or on my best friend’s karaoke machine.

I’m a coffee drinker by day and love a good G&T or espresso martini.

It’s taken me 38 years, but I can finally say I am a successful plant mum.

I hate gardening, folding washing, onions and anything low waisted.

​I love a good swear word thrown in for effect.

My soul loves dance, yoga and Les Mills Body Combat classes.

I'll choose summer over winter all day long - just look for me in the water!

I want to be a multi-millionaire so I can look after everyone in my family, pay all their bills, and take my kids on adventures around the world.

My goals include writing a book and speaking on a stage to inspire women of all ages.

You don’t really need a full play-by-play of where I’ve worked and the roles that I’ve had, feel free to stalk my LinkedIn profile if you’re really interested in that, but what you do need to know is that I’ve got a decent whack of experience under my belt, and that’s how I can help you understand the sales and marketing functions of your business better.

Throughout the past 16 years I’ve worked in non-profit organisations, large corporate marketing departments, and marketing agencies that have armed me with a special set of knowledge and expertise. From solopreneurs to large scale corporations, and everything in between, I’ve lost count of the number of businesses I’ve worked with, advised for and assisted towards their goals.
Now I get to spend my days using my skillset to help business owners like you make educated marketing decisions and prioritise the things that are truly going to make a difference to your sales.
When you work with me. . .
. . . I’m not going to throw a bunch of technical terms at you, because that’s a wanky thing to do, but what I will do is clearly and simply explain to you how these ‘marketing things’ work, why you need to pay attention to certain information and how to use those things to really make a difference to your business and your bottom line.

Please expect me to challenge you on what you think you need, to drill down into what actually works for your business (based on statistics and the analysis of results and not just your gut feeling), and to help organise you to focus on the stuff that will work more.

I’ve worked with so many different types of businesses over the years, and the one thing they all had in common was a lack of strategic marketing direction. They all did various types of marketing, most of it haphazard and irregular, but they didn’t know what was working, how well it was working or what their marketing should be actually saying.
This is what I bloody love – showing businesses where they can save money, what actually works for them and what their content should be saying to make their customers want to read it.

So here I am, a dedicated marketing strategist that’s going to take the guesswork out of your marketing for you, show you what you really need to be doing, and track the results so you know what works for your business. Because making educated and informed marketing decisions is good for your business.
