These are my top tips for writing something people will stop and read.

  1. Write how you talk. It's more engaging and makes your content feel more like a conversation.

  2. Write the same things and tell the same stories you normally do when you're face-to-face. Give the same advice and information. Remember, this is still a customer conversation, it's just happening without you.

  3. Address the concerns and problems your customers are facing - in fact, use it as a headline and you'll make the right people stop and pay attention. Exhibit A: Check out the headline of this blog post.

  4. Make a list of all the questions your customers ask you, then use those as content topics for your marketing. PRO TIP: Create multiple pieces of marketing with one topic. Do a social media post, add it to your website as a blog and FAQ, and send an email to your mailing list.

One last thing...

If you're using AI tools such as ChatGPT, please use it as a source of inspiration only. Edit the content heavily and make sure it sounds like you - because that's your superpower.
